Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app from the App Store?
No. The calculator runs in the browser and can be put on your home screen as an app (iPhone: Safari → Share → “Add to Home Screen”, Android: Chrome → “Install app”).
Does it work without internet?
Yes. After logging in online once, the calculator works for up to 21 days without internet – e.g. on holiday or at a lake without reception.
How do I log in?
With your email address. You receive a link that logs you in – there is no password. You stay logged in on your device.
How accurate is the deco planner?
It uses Bühlmann ZHL-16B or C with gradient factors. With default settings, 10 plans from established planning software were recalculated (40–100 m / 130–330 ft, air, nitrox, trimix, SCR, CCR with bailout): 8 agree to the minute, in two one stop differs by 1 minute.
Is there a manual?
Yes – the manual explains login, use, all calculators and the deco planner step by step. In the app it is available via “Manual” at the top.
Does the calculator replace my dive computer?
No. It is an aid for planning and comparison. You dive according to your training, plan and dive computer.
